Just checked my page and a TV credit was moved from where it CORRECTLY was to SELF - I DID NOT play myself in a Fatal Encounters Re-enactment - Why was it changed and how do I get it put back in the ACTRESS section where it should be?

If the title does not include the keyword "reenactment" all roles, regardless of having a character name will default to "him/herself" credits.
As described here http://www.imdb.com/help/search?domai...
You could add the keyword. I just tried and got an error message. You might try it by going to the page for that title and click "edit page" and add a keyword.
Keep in mind there are a few of you with the same name. So, when asking a question, links to the pages you're describing can help.

I've submitted it at the series level, as the whole series involves re-enactments.

Hi Bluesman & Emperor thank you for responding:
bliuesman - I read the article in the link you posted - thank you - I was about to do as you suggested- BUT i see that Emperor listed it as a series - SO HOPEFULLY in a few days it will list correctly - otherwise I will re-visit - i will also check ALL THE OTHER Discovery shows and such and see how they did it that may help -
I still don"t understand however - WHY it all of a sudden changed as it WAS listed correctly for several weeks - Thanks again - Bobbi

Yeah, I don't know why the change. Perhaps it was put up, then on review, was changed per the guidelines that it didn't have the "reenactment" keyword, so the change. But, Emperor got that keyword submitted, so it should work to change it.
You're welcome.
Edit to add: Probably recently, the genre tag of "documentary" was added, as it was only "crime" according to web.archive.org see http://web.archive.org/web/2012071106.... So, someone added "documentary" without then, also, adding "reenactment" to keywords. So, at that time it was added, the credits shifted to "self." Hoping Emperors fix works, or we can see what else we can do. I should work, though.
Thanks for the research, MayorDefacto! A champ if there ever was one!

The keyword has gone live and the changes have trickled down, so this is sorted now.

I've got the same problem. I spoke the voiceover for a character in a documentary and the role is displayed as "Self" (which is not true, it is not me). I wanted to add the keyword "reenactment", but unfortunately, I can't find the "Self - Section" after clicking on the "edit" button. When I try to "correct / change" something in the Cast Section, this movie / role is not displayed.
Where do I find the "Self Credits" to add the keyword "reenactment" in the editing section?
Thanks for your help!

As described above, you'd add the "keyword" of "reenactment" and then a documentary in which cast have character names will be displayed as actor/actress and not self.
There is no "self" section to locate. It's a display option for entries that are a type of acting credit. The keyword gets added at the title page anyway...not the actor's/actresses' pages.
I added the keyword...give it a few days to process.
