When viewing the full cast of Game of Thrones, it correctly shows Sean Bean as being in 10 episodes (all in 2011) as Eddard 'Ned' Stark when expanding the list of episodes under his name. However, next to his name and character, it incorrectly says "13 episodes, 2011-2016". Despite saying 13 episodes, he is sorted between actors with 10 and 11 episodes.
It also says 2011-2016 in his Known For on his page.
This could possibly be because the same character was played by another actor for three episodes in 2016, although that actor is credited as Young Ned and was also in a fourth episode in 2017.
I don't know if this is an isolated incident.

Could you show a larger picture of that, that shows what precedes that listing, and what is directly after it?

Adding to what Matt said: in the TV series cast episode counter will count every episode actor is credited in, despite some of those being part of "Archive Footage". Another example of that odd trait:
The only thing that is out of whack is the total episode discrepancy.
That's what my post is about. It's caused by the archive credits.
If you believe they violate policy submit a deletion request through the edit function on his page.
I know how IMDb works. I'd like to hear what an IMDb rep has to say about the archive credits before deciding whether to delete them. Regardless of that, the display problem is still an issue.

Hi Michelle, that is correct. It looks confusing. I also wonder whether those archive credits should exist to begin with, as the policy is somewhat ambiguous.

Thanks, Will. Though the problem isn't "solved". The main issue is how confusing it looked. Had the archive credits not been incorrect, as could be the case for other examples, it would still have the same display problem.

Besides, archive credits from the same series shouldn't be listed to begin with, as mentioned in this guide. That is, unless someone from the IMDb staff thinks we should make an exception based on the other rules?
