Actor who plays an unknown character and is not credited: should the character name be "Unknown" or blank

I'm correcting the credit order for episodes of The Forsyte Saga (1967). For several of the later episodes, Sarah Lisemore is listed in the IMDB credits, with character name "Unknown". Since she does not appear in the on-screen credits, she should clearly have a "uncredited" attribute, but should the character name be blank or the word "Unknown"? I can't see anything that covers this situation in https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/characters/GKLQVXKH7U8DATWX#

I'm assuming that the person who submitted the credits recognised her, and therefore that she does actually appear, albeit with no credit or identifiable character name/role.

Hi Martin -

A cast member should never be listed with the character "unknown" (unless they were credited as such), as mentioned in the following guide: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/cast-acting-credits-guidelines/GH3JZC... (section F, Character Names), if you don't know what is the on-screen character name or one isn't listed, the character name should reflect the name that the individual is referred to on-screen, or if there is no name referenced the character name should be a description, for example:

Man with Dog
Security Guard
Woman at the Cafe
Cab Driver

Lastly, if Ms. Lisemore isn't credited on-screen for this title the credit will need to be listed with the "uncredited" attribute, please go ahead and submit a credit correction for this entry, in addition to adding the applicable character name or description, you will also need to include the "uncredited" attribute.
