I'm trying to update an actors details to his official stage name but receiving an error message.
"This correction has been rejected. You need to correct this correction before it will be accepted.
This correction has no effect.
The corrected name is identical to the original name and has been rejected as a result."
His stage name is AJ MacGillivray but he's been credited as Aj...
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5699477/
Can anyone advise?

Have you tried A. J. MacGillivray?
Otherwise, if it is AJ, you'd need to submit a Misc Comment and then send in a screenshot of his name in the credits to prove this. You can do that here or using this form:

If you enter the name as AJ MacGillivray the system changes the J back to lower case when it 'flips' the name to the internal format.
If you replace the j with the upper case i.e. MacGillivray, AJ the system accepts it.
Note that you should uncheck the Preserve previous name on existing credits box.
Also, you must not select the current name in the We have these people with similar names :- message, as that will simply revert the name in the text box to the current name.
You need to check the radio button beside the last option : This is a different person not currently listed - create 'MacGillivray, AJ'.

Thanks, gents. I've tried David's suggestion and if that doesn't work I'll try the option Emperor suggests.
Thanks again.

This will actually have to be changed manually by our staff, as the system rejects names ending with an uppercase character.
I've let the right people know, so expect the change to be live within a few days.
Thanks
