Two years ago I composed a new orchestral score for Nosferatu, which has been performed live twice, a computer generated version is online, and it’s about to be performed live three more times.
Does this qualify for an IMDB listing and, if so, how does it get added?
Thanks

Hi Robert Steadman,
I'm a long time user of IMDb, not an IMDb staff member. Your question does not appear to be in the help pages for contributors.

Maybe another contributor or an IMDb staff member may be able to answer your question. I've flagged your question for staff attention.

Hi, Robert Steadman. Can you verify that the "version" of Nosferatu for which you provided a score has screened publicly or been published on home video, and that you are credited in that version?

I can.
It’s the same movie but, as is often the case with silent movies, i have written a brand new full-length orchestral soundtrack that has been screened and performed publicly.

Okay. Where did it screen? When did it screen? Is there an official moniker or official designation that describes the version in question? Please share here an image of the part of the on-screen credits where your name is mentioned and the music is attributed to you.

My 2 cents:
it is not a new version per se, which could consist of having new photographic material added and above all a new editing (and IMDb might even not consider it as a new version, but this is another story).
I think the best way is to have your name added as a composer with an attribute such as "(2018 new score)".

This credit is not eligible, sorry. Please see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/i-worked-on-a-title-but-did-not-recei... and specifically:
If you have an IMDb name page already, you may list the work in your "Other Works" section, please see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/names-biographical-data/biographical-data-guidelines/GMT9...
You may also add details of this new release of the film to its Alternate Versions section, noting your score and including a link to your name page if you have one, please also see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/alternate-versions/GB7UDDKCAAVFXCXH
For a general guide to adding / updating information, please see https://help.imdb.com/contribution
We do not list these credits unless the person has received an on-screen credit for his work in the original version of the title.

Fab, thank you. That is perfect. I just wondered if it was possible.

Just to clarify, credited versions are eligible, though? Because I think attributes for score of Bronenosets Potemkin (1927) by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe need to be updated. There is indeed, a (very notable and known) version where they are credited, but so far they have an entry in their filmographies which predates their birthdays and there's not attribute to explain that.

Hi Robert -
To clarify here, this would be considered a "version" credit, though please note that we are not currently accepting these credit types. I understand that you have provided new orchestral scores to several silent films, while you cannot list a credit for this work, you can alternatively add trivia items to these titles mentioned the new score version and release details. Cheers!
