'Melodrama' is available as a keyword and is listed for The Blue Angel.

IMDb doesn't seem to be prepared to add new genres.

I did not know this. But it doesn't have anything to do with the issues of genres available at IMDb. IMDb decides which genres they have and they decide how they are defined. IMDb has said several times in the past years they want more genres available, but they have yet to arrive.
