I know there's a button to add movies to my list. It was always working since a few days ago. Now i can only add movies to my watchlist. Can you tell me what i'm doing wrong? My movies list has more 6000 titles. So it's a hard job to see if a movie exists in my list.

Marco van Dinteren,

Just wanted to let you know that I'm not having any difficulty with this feature. The dropdown list still appears when I hover over the Add to Watchlist button. I'm on Chrome 66 on a Chromebook or Windows 10, also MS Edge and Firefox on Windows 10.

You should check the suggestions here:
https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-brow...#

If you can't figure out what's causing your problem, be sure to report the browser and OS you're using.

And here's a horrible workaround for finding if a title is on your list: use Advanced Title Search, and actually search for the title in that list.

Thanks for the last-resort workaround. You're right, it's horrible. But better than nothing until the hover dropdown is restored.

Thanks for your reply and help.
I tried the suggestions wtihout any result.
Normally i'm using google, but the problem also exists in Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
The problem appears since i installed the last version of Windows 10 home edition version 1803.
Thanks for your advice to find the titles in my list, it works like a charm!

That's weird. I've just discovered that I too only have the option to add to my watchlist (which I don't use!). I used to be able to hover over and scroll to add and delete from my specific lists. This does not happen anymore. I'm not using anything different than usual. Firefox and windows. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Drop down arrow when hovering over "add to watchlist" "+" sign on my PC no longer....

On the main movie page - Drop down arrow when hovering over "add to watchlist" "+" sign on my PC no longer shows my personal lists - where did this feature go??? It was there when I used the site a few weeks ago.

Frustrated!

Thanks! Also as a suggestion if you could get the dropdown list to be clickable instead of a hover, I feel like it would be more intuitive. At least for me it's hard to tell if your internets just slow or if there's a bug or something when you hover over and nothing appears for a while, or in this case not at all.

I like Ricky Hm's suggestion that the Add to Watchlist feature would be better if you would click to see the available list, and Watchlist were always on top. This means adding to Watchlist would always be 2 clicks, but I agree that hover can be slow sometimes.

Yeah, there's nothing you can do to make it show up faster if there's nothing to click, even more frustrating is when using a touch screen device. I agree with watchlist staying at top as well, but maybe even leave watchlist button as is, just put a clickable dropdown arrow or something next to it then you still can quickly add to watchlist with one click and get into your lists easily as well.

I have also experienced this "loss of hover" feature for the past few days. Funny, that was one of the few Updates to List Pages that I did like! Glad to see the technical team is aware of the matter and, hopefully, will restore the hover function. It sure saved time, rather than needing to check multiple lists for a single film.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Add to list dropdown not working?.

Is the add to list dropdown menu not working, or is there just a new way to add titles to your lists? Unless there's an issue on my end, it's pretty frustrating not being able to quickly add a title to a list, or quickly check if you've already added something to a list.

I'm having problem adding titles to my list. When I click the "+" button, the title is added to my watchlist. However, some days ago, when clicked, the button used to show some options (including the lists I created). I is this not happening anymore? All I can do it submit them to the watchlist directly.

Thank you for bearing with us as we searched for the root cause of the issue.

We believe our engineers found the cause this morning, and have since implemented a solution. The solution requires that you log out of IMDb, and then log back in to your account.

If it does not fix the issue, please post again to let us know. Thank you.

For some reason it only displays one custom list option for me, although I have like four of those. So if I want to add to other than my first list, I'm outta luck. Is this how it's supposed to work? been wondering about this issue since forever. Or maybe im doing something wrong?for forever
