Col: Ade is suggesting this as a new type of movie connection.  "Rebooted as" and "reboot of" aren't  existing types of connections.

Is there substantially any difference between "reboot" and "remade"?

Yes. "Reboot" is for Teletubbies (2015) and Godzilla (1998) and "Remake" is for King Kong (2005) and Beauty and the Beast (2017).

Hi Adrian -

Adding onto Ade Banner's reply, a Remake honors its source material and does its best to pay homage to it (the same title done again with slight changes), whereas a Reboot is a complete overhaul of the source material; a reimagining, reconceptualisation into a franchise (a complete re-branding).
