Adding a titles to a list is easy as each title page has a place to do that. But adding names to list is SO hard as there is NOWHERE to do so on the name page. You have to go to the list, type in the name ... search then wade through what can be dozens of names until hopefully you get the right one. It is hard. Shouldn't the adding to list be the same irrespective of name or title....EASY.

Why does the procedure have to be different.

Not a perfect solution, but there is a way to simplify adding names.

While on the Name page copy theĀ  n-const (the string in the format nm1234567 that is part of the URL). In many browsers, double-clicking on that part of the URL will select just that part of it. Go to the list and paste in that n-const instead of the name. Click search, and the system will return just the one name.

Not as good as having a button on the Name page, but makes selecting the right name automatic.

Yeah, I've used that workaround. I use 2 browser tabs. I open the list editor in one tab, and a name page in the other tab. Then I can quickly copy-and-paste the "nm" ID from the name page URL into the list editor.

Alternatively, you can paste the name page's entire URL into the list editor.

Thanks for that info guys, I'll try your solutions next time I need to update a name list. But seriously IMDB why not have the same procedure on names as with titles? If there is one thing I know about web design is consistency. Never change the look, feel, or operation of a web site between sections. IMDB have broken that golden rule.
