Adding one letter first name problem

I recently worked on a documentary as a co-producer/story writer and it is my first credit eligible for an IMDb credit. However, the name I use (J Matthew) keeps getting rejected because a first name cannot end in a capital letter. I have it set as "J. Matthew" How can I resolve this issue?
