As Col referenced in his earlier post (https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/upcoming-changes-to-several-imdb-features-du6man1opd5q0),we're pleased to announce that today we've launched some updates to the Advanced Search pages. As the world’s most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content, IMDb is continuously making improvements to our website and apps based on our customers’ feedback and the usage of our many features. The changes to the search pages are as follows.
The Advanced Search page has a new layout with links to Advanced Title Search, Advanced Name Search, and the Collaborations & Overlaps search. The Title Text Search and Name Text Searches have been temporarily removed, but will return. The list of Browse By links has been reduced to eliminate duplication on the page.
The Advanced Name Search is built using a new search system that lays the groundwork for searching across more of the IMDb content in the future. The ability to get results that include or exclude list of celebs is not included on the Advanced Name Search page, this is a temporary limitation and will be returned to the page in the future.
