After you report abusive behavior, does imdb ever get back to you?

I just reported someone regarding abusive behavior for the first time in my life (on any site).  However, even though I put him/her on my ignore list, another user quoted it and showed me that that person doesn't appear to show signs of backing down and implied that he/she will still try to come after me.

The question here is, when I do report someone for abusive behavior, will imdb ever email me back saying whether or not they acted on my request?  I understand that not all abuse claims have a legitimate amount of evidence to support them and some inevitably fall through.  It would just make me feel better if imdb would get back to me on whether or not there is sufficient evidence to have them take action.

That's charming.  I supposed there's no way to find out whether the person who is attacking me got suspended/banned or anything?

IMDB tend not to ban anyone straight away - they apply escalating sanctions on them and then remove their authentication.

You can tell if sanctions have been applied for posting, as this will tend to result in their message board posts getting scrubbed.
