I found someone called Jack Rix (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0729734/?ref_=nmbio_trv_2)
but all of his credits MUST be wrong as some of them are before his DAD was born in 1958 (look up Jamie Rix).

I see that Jamie Rix (I) was born in 1958 and has a son named Jack Rix.
I also see that there is a person named Jack Rix listed in IMDb with a variety of credits between 1941 and 1974. Clearly, that can't be the son of Jamie Rix. But there could have been some other Jack Rix who did that work from 1941 to 1974, who was someone different from Jamie Rix's son.
In fact, I have confirmed that someone named Jack Rix was credited as associate producer for Seance on a Wet Afternoon:

So my recommendation would be to change the biographical trivia for Jamie Rix at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0729735/bio to indicate that his son is Jack Rix with no link attached -- instead of 'Jack Rix' (qv) -- to remove the implication that he was the father of the producer Jack Rix.
Jack Rix, the producer, has no biographical information on his IMDb page (see the lack of information at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0729734/bio), so there is currently no implication on his own name page that he is related to Jamie or any of the other Rix family members.

If you look at Jamie Rix's biography his son Jack Rix still has a hyperlink to the older Jack Rix which is incorrect. There will probably be links in the other Rix family members to this older Jack Rix too.
I'm in the UK and Brian Rix (Jamie's Dad & Jack's Grandad) was a much revered member of the show biz profession, so much so that he was not just knighted but made Lord Rix as he was a tireless campaigner for mentally disabled children after his first child was born with Down's Syndrome.
So can all the links from the Rix family (some surnamed Coy and Mercier too) be removed to this older Jack Rix please?

Here is how to do that, in the case of Brian Rix.
Go to the page of Brian Rix at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0729727/. Click "Edit page".
On the next screen, on the Trivia line, select "Correct/Delete". Scroll down and click "Continue".
On the next screen, select "Correct" In the menu to the left of the entry that currently says:
Grandfather of 'Ben Rix' (qv), 'Jack Rix' (qv), 'Charlotte Coy' (qv) and 'Jolyon Coy' (qv).
Click "Check these updates".
On the next screen, you will see that the entry is editable. Remove the quotes around Jack Rix's name and the (qv) afterwards, so that the entry will read instead:
Grandfather of 'Ben Rix' (qv), Jack Rix, 'Charlotte Coy' (qv) and 'Jolyon Coy' (qv).
Select the "Adding/correcting qv(s)" explanation beneath.
Click "Check these updates".
On the next screen, the entry will appear with a green background, and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".
That will submit the correction for Brian Rix's page. But then you, or someone else, will have to repeat the similar process for each of the other Rix, Coy, or Mercier family members who have similar errors in their biographical trivia. There isn't a way to correct this all in one fell swoop; it will have to be corrected on the name of each of the relatives.
Once you have done one of these corrections, you may find that you can do each of the other corrections fairly quickly.
I hope this helps. Good luck!

I have just been trying to decipher the above, and for what it's worth: Actor Brian Rix (later Sir Brian, and later again Lord Rix) and film producer Jack Rix were brothers. Jack Rix was married to my cousin Joy Byrne (from Sydney) and when I was in the UK in 1955/6, they were living in St John's Wood, London. Joy operated a top-of-the-range hairdressing salon in Mayfair.
As well as producing "Séance on a Wet Afternoon" and "Billy Liar", Jack Rix also produced the Australian films "The Overlanders" and "Bitter Springs".
Cheers!
