I created my IMDb and changed my name to Christopher Ellay. For some reason Christopher Little still shows up under alternate names. I should only be credited as Christopher Ellay. Please remove Christopher Little off my personal IMDb page and off film title Through The Blinds and only leave Christopher Ellay. Also , only Christopher Little shows up in the name search. Can we fix this so only Christopher Ellay shows up?

Was the name page created recently? (One to two days ago?) If so, it's possible that the update is still in the middle of processing and has not been completed.
To assist the IMDb representatives, the URL of the name page is listed below.

My suspicion is that the name that shows up in the search suggestions (the drop down menu of the top navigation bar) is the name with which the most popular item in a person's filmography is associated. If that is true, then the presentation will be stuck a given way until that person is credited in a more popular work.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your feedback.
The 'alternate names' information on a filmography page is meant to include every instance of a person's name. This information is mostly derived from on-screen credits and may, therefore, include spelling variations due to actual typographical errors in films' main or end titles. This is also done so that anyone searching for a name which appears in the on-screen credits of a film will be directed to the page belonging to the correct person, even if the on-screen credits feature a different spelling.
See, for example:
Johnny Depp
Steven Spielberg
Robin Williams
For the sake of accuracy and consistency, we must apply the same rules to all the names/credits stored in the database. I've removed the alternate name from Through the Blinds but if you can provide us with a copy of the end credits for Unlucky confirming that you were credited as Christopher Ellay then we will be happy to take a look.
Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,
Will
