Am I the only one to get flooded by GS?

In the past, say, 6 weeks, I have been receiving waves of email notifications for Questions and Problems from the IMDb GS forum, dating back to... 5 and 6 years!!!
Right now, it is about 2 every minutes...
So it is impossible to keep track of the actual new ones being created.

Can the IMDb staff contact GS support (I tried and it is apparently impossible for mere forum users), it is becoming unbearable.

We are doing some clean-up of old, outdated threads at the moment.  We are surprised these are generating email notifications as threads are either being archived or moved to the correct category.  We are starting with the oldest messages first and working category by category.  You probably want to adjust your email notification settings per Peter's advice, even if only temporarily.

I’m being flooded with 100 emails a day, I’ve changed my settings and unfollowed and unchecked everything but I’m still receiving them????

I have the same GS configuration now (as a temporary measure, I hope!), which has stopped the GS flooding.

Thanks Peter and Col for the insight.
I will turn the "new" topic notification for a while, but I wish IMDb tells us when the purge is over and we can resume being notified of only new topics.
