Official representatives, please react or explain where I am wrong.

The situation, step by step:
  1. Six hours ago I saw the 'problem' thread because Michelle replied there, so the topic come to my eye;
  2. I tried and found a free time of my personal life to find an opportunity to watch that movie under question, it was found, then watched, then I replied in 3 hours;
  3. Then the person who asked for help replied that she does not know what to do next, so I did what should be done to make the base correct:
  4. ;
  5. And someone, namely Ed Jones has a problem with this and invites me stop contributing:

I don't think being the first to reply (even with multiple messages), conveys ownership to the thread.

On the thread about darianne's credit,
MAthePA stated that he watched the film and looked at each female face (4:39pm)

To which darianne asked (at 7:09pm):
So now what do I do... this just keeps getting weirder.
According to the timestamps on GetSatisfaction, these 2 replies were 5 seconds apart (7:21pm):

From Ed's post, I infer that he's trying to teach darianne how to Contribute, giving no indication that he would contribute the change for her. But 13 minutes later, when Ed posts his own contribution screenshot, he states:
You jump in MtP after not responding to this thread at all and make a submission.
This ignores the 4:39pm post where MAthePA stated he watched the film.

Look if you knew about our past history......... he asked that I "But Out" of any post he was involved with. That happened when I commented on a thread with "Praise"!!!!!!
He asked that I not Praise him or defend him because it made him "Upset"
I complied.
I do not directly comment and tried to steer clear of his posts or threads so as to make him feel better.
But the same courtesy is not extended to me. No Quid Pro Quo!
I have done as he asked.
Talk about following me around!!!!!!!!!! Pot calling the Kettle Black.
He Jumped in on another post just a couple of days ago and referred to one of my comments on a thread without using my name but using a URL link to be cute!

He has selective memory and has failed to bring that up here.
I'm off to search for it now.
Will post it

Read the advice given by MtP at the bottom also, (Advising that the user cheat the system) never mind the slant directed at myself and Nikolay.

Plus he was not addressing the original poster, he was bolstering his obsession with me be commenting on an agitator on this platform that has commented derogatorily not just to me but to others here Bobby Hall.

MtP was not making comments to help the poster of the thread but to attack me personally.
This post I was communicating first with the poster. MtP came in after and rather than contribute help to the poster selected to reply to an agitator, so as to agitate Bobby Hall further.

Here is his post and my reply. I makes mention of the truce he requested, in which I was complying with until that moment.

Hi, Bobby Hall.

Some editors do personal favors for persons they know somehow or IMDb Champions ask for personally, speculating on vandalism:
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/an-attempt-to-vandalize-gs-user-imdb-page-with-a-title-addit...

but unfortunately, their eyes may be constantly closed to factual data provided with evidence:
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/i-have-credits-incorrectly-posted-to-my-imdb-profile-how-do-i-get-them-removed

In view of the above practice, maybe Kallie Tabor should open*** a new thread marked as "PROBLEM" and say that her IMDb page is vandalized... or what? Hard to say. It is not normal, but they do as they do, inspiring for extras.

*** This is that part where he advises a solution that "CHEATS" the system. To advise someone to remove a credit claiming something that he does not know to be true or false is astounding. Why has no one noticed this and put a stop to it.

Also my very next reply addresses another problem that many contributors are overly quick to suggest.

Please read.

Since you decide to reference me, then my no comment to you is turned off on this one.
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/an-attempt-to-vandalize-gs-user-imdb-page-with-a-title-addit...
You verified my very point. My page had an erroneous credit, and it was gone in two days. Not 2 months. Not 2 Years. We are are own "Lifelock" There is no email being sent when changes are made to ones page. So we as owners or as listed persons of the database must be vigilant on or own. Oh, and NO ONE did me a personal "Favor". Nikolay was "highly upset" that someone would vandalize my page. I was going to delete it but he beat me to it! And started that topic. As usual your speculation lacks facts.

Now the second topic.
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/i-have-credits-incorrectly-posted-to-my-imdb-profile-how-do-i-get-them-removed

I advised that person to do the same thing that I advised the person here. Provide proof by way of screenshots. Do the labor to prove your point. Well they did not. YOU DID IT. It's not my job nor yours to do all the hard work. You have less info to go on when you take on a task like that. Plus you are formulating extrapolations that may be based on a flawed supposition. Therefor you are making submissions that you can't be sure of.

Also this advice of someone else's credits are on their page, or the similar name theory should not be dangled like a quick patch job either. People will automatically run around the database looking for a person to dump their credits on with a similar name. Then that person comes here saying that those are not their credits. Because of these credit dumps you create a never ending cycle of musical credits. Or pin the credit on the Donkey!!!! This type of bad advice needs to be stopped. I NEVER volunteer the similar name theory for credit relocation. It sends the wrong message. Asking for more information and then determining that a name split is needed after examination would avoid problems.

And please don't sit here and say I called you some name or something MtP.
It has not happened. And sorry if you may not "Get" the language.

If you wonder why your submissions are being rejected, then it is for the flawed logic that you are using when doing submissions.

Cheers
:):)

Didn’t we already had these type of discussions in the past? Anyone can reply to any thread at any time if it comes to that. Of course people should keep their posts informative (this is not a witty chit-chat movie forum after all), civil and all that, but in the end this is a public forum.

Also, can someone point to the guide or the official reply to where IMDb staff says that some ”rejection” hurts your accuracy rating?

Ed Jones (XLIX), was wondering whether these exist too, thanks for pointing at the part of the message. Pointing because I've seen it, read it and yet never noticed that first sentence confirming that such ratings do exist. :)

That is what bothers me about MAthePA. He specifically asked that I not directly address him. So I made the effort to steer clear of his posts and topics he was helping on. For over 2 months, mind you. I know that he will make submissions for others all the time, so I would not just jump in and make a submission anywhere he has involvement. I do not want my accuracy to go down. But he does not feel the need to do the same in reverse.
Will (Employee) asked that we stay in our respective corners. I have complied. MAthePA has not.

This is why I was upset with him. Ignoring Will, and possibly costing me a reject/denied contribution which reflects badly on my record.

Accuracy tracking exists as stated in the Contributors' Charter, but this doesn't necessarily mean that every declined edit in an update history affects that accuracy tracking. Such details have not been revealed to my knowledge.

If you wish to know more about the tracking I suggest you ask IMDb about it.

Ed: In the thread at https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/contributors-accuracy-rating, Col Needham wrote (quoting from the Contributors Charter in the first paragraph below):
IMDb tracks each contributor's accuracy over time and if any contributor repeatedly submits data which is inaccurate or which violates our policies, their contributions will require increasing levels of additional proof in order to be processed.

The accuracy rating is an internal measure which is not available or shared externally; only the appropriate IMDb staff have access to it.
Note what the Contributors Charter says -- "inaccurate or which violates our policies".

A submission which is accurate, and does not violate policies, is not going to harm your accuracy rating just because it turned out to be unnecessary due to an earlier submission of the same information by someone else.

99.9% or more of the submissions made to IMDb by all contributors are never mentioned on this message board. Nobody can be sure that any particular submission they make is not a duplicate of something that someone else already submitted.

In fact, if MAthePA had made his same data submission for Darianne but never mentioned it on this board,  you would never have known about it and yet your submission of the same information would be a duplicate just the same. You would be in exactly the same position vis-a-vis your accuracy rating as you are now, just without knowing about it. (Which, as it turns out, is a neutral position, since your accuracy rating was not actually harmed.)
