An award was added incorrectly, but I can't edit it to fix the problem.

I added the winner and nominees for "Best Short Short" to the 2012 Hoboken Film Festival.  When I was adding them, under 'award details' the 'award' item had 'best short short' as one of the options in the drop down, so naturally I selected this when adding the winner and nominees.

However, now that the info has appeared on the page it seems to have put it in a category separate from the other awards.  When I try to edit the page it seems the other awards list 'Festival Award' in the award box, and then have a category in a separate box.  It seems that even though "Best Short Short" was available in the drop-down, that was the incorrect selection.  It should have been "Festival Award" there, and "Best Short Short" in the separate category box.

I tried to correct the information, but whenever I try to edit the page, the 'Category' box is editable, but the 'Award' box is not.  If someone could help me in correcting this error, that would be great.

Adam: The way to fix this is to submit a deletion for the incorrectly listed award and nominations, and in the same submission submit adds to re-add the award and nominations again correctly.

Start by going to http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0001587/2012 and clicking "Edit page".

On the next screen, on the Wins & Nominations line, select "Correct/Delete". Click "Continue".

On the next screen, select "Delete" in the drop-down box to the left of each of the incorrectly listed awards/nominations. Scroll down to near the end of the page. After the last award on the page, there will be a gray bar that says "Add" with a drop-down box. In that drop-down box, select "10 Win/Nominations" (because you have more than 5 entries to correct). Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, for each of the entries you are deleting, you will be required to provide an Explanation. Enter something like "This entry was incorrectly listed with Best Short Short as the award, instead of having Festival Award as the award and Best Short Short as the category. A correct entry is being submitted in this same submission." If you have a URL to prove that Best Short Short is a category under Festival Award, provide it as part of your explanation. You can use the same explanation for each entry that requires one.

Farther down on the page will be blank entries in which to enter the correct entries. For each entry you are submitting, select Festival Award for the award and Best Short Short as the category. Then go through the process of submitting each award and nomination according to the usual method. Make sure to include a URL as proof of each award/nomination in the Comments section for each one.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Hello again.  I did exactly as discussed and added the new award and deleted the old one in the same update.  However it seems the new award was added, but even after time has passed the old one has still not been removed.  In fact there seems to be 3.  You can see here:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2294707/awards

What should I do about this?

I don't know why the old entries were not removed. However, I just submitted a deletion of all the duplicate entries, so I'm going to wait and see if my submission of the deletion gets processed.

Those erroneous awards entries seem to have been successfully deleted and everything looks good.  Thanks again for the help.
