Today we launched a new feature allowing IMDb users to preview available songs on a film's soundtrack.

Previews are currently available for more than 7,000 films.

To access this new feature, users can navigate to a film's soundtrack page by selecting “More” then “Soundtracks". It is currently available on our Desktop site.

John,

I have to say, this is a beautiful move by IMDb. People can enjoy their favorite film's score by visiting the 'Soundtrack' section of that particular film.

Well done.

This is an excellent idea. I just stumbled across it when searching for a soundtrack to see the credits, and was like "I didn't know you could listen to songs".

Only soundtracks I ever remember buying are the 'The Fast and the Furious' 2001, 'More Fast and Furious' 2001, '8 Mile: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture' 2002 and 'More Music from 8 Mile' 2002, because I didn't know what songs the films would be putting on their soundtracks.

This new feature will enable me to check out clips for soundtracks I might be interested in buying in future.

This is a novel feature, it means you can listen to songs from famous musical films, or simply famous soundtracks. I look forward to seeing how successful and helpful this will be.

Tried it so far on a few titles. It's pretty neat.

But it should be tried on more musical titles.
