Anyone else having problems with IMDb pages switching automatically to the ad page for the new IMDb Movies program?

Going to a page on IMDb to look something up, but the page keeps automatically flipping over to the ad page for IMDb Movies (the new -- or newly renamed--streaming service).  I can't look at a page for more than a few seconds before it flips to the ad page.

Hi Jim,

It sounds like you are seeing that every page you are viewing on IMDb is atuomatically redirecting to the IMDb TV homepage. Can you confirm if you are clicking on the top banner?
Clicking on the top banner will automatically open up the IMDb TV homepage on a new tab.

If you are still having difficulties browsing IMDb, please provide an example page (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116695/) as well as your browser information for our engineering team to further investigate.

Thanks!

The problem seems to have stopped, but two new ones have arisen.  Problem 1:  Almost everytime I open a page, it also opens a new tab with an ad for the TV series Yellowstone.  I suspect this is not a glitch but rather a badly thought-out advertising scheme.  I don't like having new tabs opened every time I change a page on IMDb.

Problem 2:  When on my own IMDb page I click on "edit your site preferences," I am taken instead to the sign-in page, even though I am already signed in.  If I sign in "again," and go to my page and click on "edit your site preferences," I am again taken to the sign-in page,  There seems to be no way to get to the link for editing my site preferences, and I can't imagine this sign-in page cycle is what is intended.  I'm using Chrome Version 75.0.3770.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Apologies for the trouble!

I suspect this issue is caused by a browser plugin, which can sometimes affect the way our links function. Please attempt the following:

1. Log out of your IMDb account
2. Disable any browser plugins (or open a private browser session)
3. Log in to IMDb again
4. Try opening a new page and visiting site preferences to see if the issue still occurs

Thanks in advance!
