Anyone else having problems with adding movies to your watchlist.

When I search a title and go to the title page i do not get the "add to watchlist" icon. Instead i get a "loading" icon that never loads.

I'm not really sure what that image is showing me - it seems to be a poster, not the Watchlist button.

I've seen this happen occasionally on title lists. The problem tends to go away after rebooting.

For example:
http://www.imdb.com/list/BN1ogkih0do/

When I loaded http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066026/c..., it took around 4 seconds for the Watchlist button to load.

Thanks Dan, but I have tried rebooting and completely shutting down and still the same thing. The problem has lasted a couple of days now. I initially thought it was a problem with the site, but know I don't think so.

I just went to the site on my tablet and the same thing happened. I don't know what is up.

Same here... The button never turns to + Watchlist for the last couple of days. It seems to be loading on every movie page i visit. However, the rest of my lists appear on the dropdown menu. I 've tried three different browsers but the problem persists.

I found a way to add movies to my watchlist but it is a bit time consuming and not really convenient.
I add the movie(s) to another of my lists, then visit that list, select the movies and click on MOVE to Watchlist...

I thought the problem is that i've added approximately 9.500 titles to my watchlist but i' ve come accross other massive lists in the past.

Anyone from the imdb support team knowing if that is a problem to be solved?

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this myself. Is this 'Add to Watchlist" issue still occurring?

I can't add titles to my watchlist anymore. The problem is that the "Add to watch list" buttons for each movie do not stop loading.

Any advice/support highly appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. I do have 9700 movies on my watch list; this might contribute to the problem

I currently have 9,283 titles on my Watchlist. I just checked and I am having the same problem.

Why the site has two different stile of view on titles. I am with the second but i refer the first. How i can change it to first look - in the topic on Dan Dassow

ok i solve the problem. This is in the - general site preferences - Always display full cast and crew credits - the looks of the title change.

Any response from the technical department would be very much appreciated.
I believe the problem appears only on massive lists. I have a complementary iMDB account with only a few titles in my watchlist and it seems to be working fine.

Hello, has anyone else with this problem had it resolved yet? I still get the interminable loading symbol and am unable to add or remove titles, or even see their watchlist status, on each title's page.

This seems to be directly connected to having a large number of titles in your "Watch List." I went to all three films & the "add to watch list" link loaded fine for me.

So it seems to be an issue with very large lists... It's a starting point anyway..

Or is there anyone with a smaller list having this issue??

What you wrote is a good working hypothesis. The buttons loaded for me during a brief period of time around 2:00 am Central. This is typically a time of day when there is less processing load on IMDb.

I moved titles from my Watchlist to a second list. When I reduced the number to 8,904 titles, the buttons load properly. At 8,905 titles the buttons would not load.

The dividing point between loading and not loading may be dependent on processor load. At 8,904 titles, the buttons loaded, but took a few seconds.

I have the same problem as above with a watchlist of ~9500 titles. A few weeks ago, the watchlist has always worked well and instantly. I am expecting this problem with Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari. Changing IP address and disabling ad-blockers did not work, so I guess it's a technical problem at IMDB-servers.

Hey, it is working for me today, as well! I tried over the past month deleting around 1200 titles, changing option, everything mentioned. I had it working sporadically, but mostly not. But today, yep, it is working fine!
