Unfortunately I had to be inactive for awhile due to an illness and likely won't be too active again although I'm trying.
I just tried to scan several months of posts and didn't see my question so here it is:

? Is there a new terms disclaimer when posting trivia?

I'll keep it simply as that's my question and thank you in advance to all.

I didn't have a trivia item to add but checked to see if maybe it was also on the opening screen and it is. It's the "The data I'm submitting is true and not copyrighted by a third party." statement that I don't recall. I've submitted lots of items but only about a dozen in the past 3-4 months so I could just have a mental block, but I just feel like if that statement's been on there all along I would have remembered it. I don't have any problem with the statement; I'm just curious if it indeed was added to the submission screens why was it added.
(and thanks Ed for well wishes and the laugh.)

That statement's been around (on all submissions, not just trivia) for a long time: definitely for years, probably for decades. The exact wording and the way it's displayed has changed over time (I seem to remember it being much more prominent in the distant past), but the general line isn't new.

Interestingly, the guide for adding new titles includes a screenshot of an earlier version of the statement:
