Archive Footage Attribute in Soundtracks Section

I've reviewed the soundtrack submission guide and don't find, or missed, anything related to archive footage. There's plenty on uncredited, though. If the song was shown as a clip, will archive footage be accepted as an attribute by staff?

Hi Layle -

Apologies for the delay in replying here.  I have reached out to our data editors to confirm if these attributes can be displayed within the Soundtrack section (and if so, will confirm the formatting), as soon as I hear back I will post the relevant information here.

Hi Layle -

Following up here to confirm that, unfortunately, the "Archive Footage" attribute cannot be used for Soundtrack data.  So if you are submitting soundtrack data, you can still submit the song but should omit the archive footage attribute.

Thanks for your reply! I'm not sure if this will get to you as it is marked as answered, but one more question: if the performance is archive footage and not performed in the episode proper, do you want the credit in the soundtrack section at all?

I can't speak for how IMDB wants it; but if they decide not to place it under soundtracks my next suggestion would be maybe putting a note in trivia that the song is used in archive footage. That way at least its part of the information available for the show in some way.

That would work imperfectly. I'd still rather have a link to the performer's name page, but we do what we can... Thanks!
