Are step children included in a person's Marriage details?

If person A marries person B and they have no children together, but B has children by a previous relationship, should those children be listed in A's and B's Marriage details in IMDB? Or should they only be listed in B's Marriage details to B's previous spouse?

I would have thought not, but I have seen an example where they are - should the Marriage records in IMDB be modified?

Does it make any difference if children of a B's previous relationship are officially adopted by A and (assuming A is a man) take his surname instead of their birth surname?

Hi Martin -

Our policy regarding these listings are flexible, however, we generally only list biological or adopted children in this section.  We will make exceptions to list step-children if it is directly requested by the individual, the surname doesn't make a difference here.  I hope this helps!
