Are there annual gatherings of the IMDb Poll Board, where we will be able to see eachother in person, talk about movies and get to know eachother? I will be glad to meet with all of you in person one day.

AyeLewis was a member of the old boards directly on imdb. A legend in its own right.

In this day and age of PC it's hard to be me all the way.
I have a Don Rickles mind with Robin Williams speed.
Get Sat Censors and I???? Ouch!
I'm in The Mojave so My 50 or so years of polishing my act are about to be unleashed somewhere in L.A. Just moved here a year ago. I got a voice made for Toons too! All 75+ of them. I do a mean Magilla Gorilla!!

It's a real nice idea and I think we've all had the conversation before but it's difficult because we all live in different parts of the world, all of which would probably require a long plane flight. For instance, I live in Canada and I know DC lives in India; but the idea is really nice.

I hope one day, we can all do that. Have a movie night or something :) Would be awesome to have all of the creative minds of the poll authors in one room!

I hope more people to be part of this conversation so we could come up with something.

Because the participants are so spread out around the globe, such a gathering would have to really kind of piggyback within collection of conferences at a weekend international convention. Usually an event has to be extremely important to get people to travel outside of their homelands, though. It's hard enough with national events in countries so geographically large and diverse as the United States (which is not even the largest).

I had this questioning ever since I started on the Daily Poll Board, we were quite a bunch of regulars and I was wondering how it'd feel to meet someone for real...
... it's a good idea, I wish there was some electronic device allowing people to communicate with their faces visible :) ;)

Aww, that would be cool. But as others have said, we're really far away from each other. Maybe regional conferences are an alternative? I guess Jessica, Peter, Elmo, leavy, Breumaster, Hoekkie and me could find a literal middle ground in Holland or so (forgot anyone?). Not sure how far the distances are for members from other regions though.

I guess I had the wrong poll member in mind, what was that "era" exchange exactly?

Baby Boomer Era poll.
They erased the whole poll.
It was banned.
I had a 40+ E-mail exchange that lasted for 3 weeks after that.
Everything worked out fine.
You and I had no problem.
But they said I was bad to you.
You did not see it that way, but they did.
They eventually came to the conclusion that it was a no problem later.
Shoot first ask questions later thing on GetSat's part. IMDb was innocent.
It's all good now. I'm happy because of the outcome combined the nagging problem that bothered me. That is why my screen name is so long. It is a combo of all three names I used. I wanted to be straight with all here. It was Important to be right about what I was doing. There is more to it that I can't go into in detail. I hope to be able to address it later. Maybe a month or two down the road.

So...

We all make mini YouTube type videos and send them to ... ? ?

where Someone edits them into a 2 hour movie ? ?

"A Day in the Life of GetSaters"

and then that is Listed on IMDb with all our names ! !

and IF the Reviews and Ratings are good

We can do a Sequel each year
.

Elmo, admit it, you've kept a half-finished screenplay with that title in your drawer for fifteen years, lol!

It's a bit like "Play it Again, Sam" with Michael replacing Bogart... I've got no screenplay yet. Believe me.
