If you don't have one, you'll need to enter a credit card number.  They will send a request in the amount of $1 to make sure it's valid, but they won't finish the request for funds, so there is no cost, but it's the only other option for authenticating.

If you cannot authenticate, you can still use the core features of the site, just not those that need authentication (message boards, etc.)  which is used to combat trolling and flooding of message boards or other types of abuse.

Then can you please put the credit card number option back on the page for me?

I am a user of the site, not staff.  I have no control over the display of information on pages of the site.

I was not aware that the option to use credit card has been removed though.  Looking at the authentication FAQ page, the credit card option seems to have been removed.  The only way now seems to be using a cell phone. http://www.imdb.com/help/search?domain=helpdesk_faq&index=1&file=authenticationtopfaq&re... Sorry for the false into above about use of credit card numbers.

Are you, by any chance, the Jack that has been posting about Land Before Time on many of the boards?  If so, you should take the hint that IMDb is sending you by revoking your account authentication.  And, if so, I would suggest you stick to the core features of the site and skip posting on message boards anyway...which is the recommendation in the help area if you are having problems keeping an account in good standing.  If it's not you, I apologize (though if your authentication was also removed, perhaps you're in the same boat as he).
