Season 3 of tv series "Better Things" will aired early 2019.
Guests stars are Sharon Stone and Matthew Broderick. But there is no info about roles and in what episode/s they will appear.
If i update the cast (without episodes selected) appears this error. Can a imdb staff include Sharon Stone and Matthew Broderick as "unknown episodes"? Thanks.

You must have an episode number or you will never be able to add them.
It states so on the page.

Yes. I know it is not an error. But then, must we wait to the episode release to update two important cast members of Season 3??. I have see others actors that appears with "unkown episodes".

That's because those actors were added to the IMDb cast listing at the series level before the episode-type title pages were created/attached into the series title page.
Those should not be there. May have been entered by the show runners in pre-production stages when all cast had no episodes attached.

But whats a pitty!!! The news has publish that Sharon Stone and Matthew Broderick will be in some episodes of season 3 of Better Things and imdb would not publish them as unknown episodes. Imdb would wait weeks (or months) to aired the episode and then update it. I am sorry.

Right. I do not understand why some contributors insist upon creating title pages for episodes that are nowhere near about to air. Maybe the system should block those kind of episode additions.

Updates need to be episode specific. Please wait until this starts airing before trying to update. Updating the series is the wrong way to do this.

Because that has how it is always worked. And, who cares before episodes actually air? Series level credits are an amalgamation of all episodic level credits. Why would anyone care of who is in a series prior to them actually being in a series episode?
It would show up in a person's IMDb name page, which might be of interest to fans of that person, but unfortunately it would not be tagged with a particular development status.

Yeah, and it also could be a fake rumor which ultimately disappoints fans when they don't actually appear. This is why it is an episodic credit and not a series credit.
