For the past hour, I have been unable to get to any message boards. At
first, I could reach various boards' list of message threads, but
clicking on any thread led to the D'oh error page. I am now unable to
even get the threads page, nor my board favorites page or board
profile. Instead of the D'oh error page, I'm now getting the
"Connecting To Message Boards Please wait a few seconds for the page to load " followed by 404 error.

Are they doing maintenance or have they decided to eliminate message boards and just left this site as information only?
No. It's been going off-and-on like this for a few days.

How could fans who are "upset" cause problems for the entirety of IMDb message boards?
Also, do these "fans" need a diaper change? Or is it the other problem and they need a laxative?

Heavier than normal message board traffic can affect the performance of the message boards. Similar problems occurred when Breaking Bad concluded.
Go in depth about how many servers IMDb.com has, how many hard drive
they got to store the data of the whole database including the boards,
and how much bandwidth IMDb.com can handle, and why we are facing these
outages?
