Bottom 100 updates?

Hello, I visited the Bottom 100 list today and I noticed enourmous changes since the last time I saw it. The "best film" on the list used to have barely a 2.8 rating, but now the number 100 is occupied by Material Girls (2006) with a very high rating of 4.2, The list still claims that you need a minimum of 1,500 votes to be considered. However most of the horrible less voted movies have dissapeared.

Was there an unnanounced change in the minimum vote threeshold or how is it possible to have so huge changes in so little time?

This post was apparently marked answered without actually being answered.

The change Pencho describes seems to have occurred in July 2018.
