Ratings: Add more countries to the breakdowns

So, is your point that people aren't dfferent or that if they use one criteria, they should show all? If a feature doesn't interest you, don't use it. I can't how adding hemispheres or continents makes any improvement or could possibly be of use or interest to anyone. Do you seriously support that suggestion???

Someone, by the way, that classifies peeople they meet by their demographic categories is a racist/sexist/ageist, etc. I don't think that was the point of the section.

Citizenship also has nothing to do with it. I could be a US citizen living in Spain and would put Spain as my location.

I would think if they, seeking balance, used all countries, many would be insignificant on most titles as most US titles are not available there and their populations, especially those that use the site regularly enough to vote. It would be a waste of time and space.

The site does not originate in the US so I'll guess they set the US apart might have to do with it having the most users and the most titles produced (600,000 of 3 million total...that's double India's total, who pumps out a lot of titles, and compare those to UK with 147,000 listed). Just my guess..

I think adding other continents to the demographic breakdown would be very interesting and helpful. I have no doubt that people from Europe - in general - look different to certain types of movies than people in the US. The same can be said probably about people from Asia or the Middle East. It also helps to explain why crappy films from India - like Taare Zameen Par - get into the Top 250. US-voters: 7.1; Non-Us: 8.6. My guess is that these films don't get a high ranking from European viewers. The next step then would be to make Top 250 listst for separate continents.
