Browing Trailers, clicking on the Name should go to the Details page, not the Video

Once upon a time, we had the choice to click on the Name link below the picture/play button of the snapshot of a Trailer, to go visit the information page about the title, rather than to go straight to the video/Trailer. (Clicking anywhere on the much bigger picture would go to the Trailer video page of that title). Some time ago, IMDB changed so that both the snapshot/play button and also the Name link below the snapshot BOTH go directly to the video/Trailer.
So, now, to see the information, we have to wait for enough of the video/Trailer page to load (which is a very heavy operation in the browser and also wastes bandwidth) to find, aim at and click the Name link to get to the information page about the title.
Please bring back the older behavior or otherwise give us a way, while browsing Trailers at the top of the main IMDB page, to go directly to the information page of a title, withOUT having to go through the video/Trailer player page first.

Hi Jay,

When viewing trailers on IMDb, you can select the hyperlink to the title underneath the trailer which will direct you to the title page.

No, we can't. That's how it used to work. Now, even those title text hyperlinks go straight to the video. That's the whole point of my complaint.

In the screenshot below, my mouse was floated over the title. Link at the URL in the bottom bar of the browser - straight to video.

Hi Jay,

That's correct, on the main page of IMDb, the link will now direct to the trailer. If you're on the trailers page here:

http://www.imdb.com/trailers

it will direct you to the title page when you select the hyperlink.

... on the main page of IMDb, the link will now direct to the trailer. ...
Right, and that's why the OP wrote:

"Please bring back the older behavior or otherwise give us a way, while browsing Trailers at the top of the main IMDB page, to go directly to the information page of a title, withOUT having to go through the video/Trailer player page first."

(Emphasis added.)

Sorry OP, but my guess is that they're probably not going to restore the older behavior?
Without a large number of complaints, I assume there's not sufficient motivation to revert.

Ava, you write "that's correct". My point, and that of those who have agreed with me here, is that it's INCORRECT. We DON'T want to be forced to bounce off of a trailer page (which automatically starts loading and playing video stream content, a CPU, memory and bandwidth heavy operation which takes human-noticeable time) before we can interrupt that process and do what we want to do, what we used to be able to do, see the details page.
Please take this back to the product people who make the error of changing the previous, better behavior to the current unacceptable behavior.
thank you.
