Bug in the list sorting algorithm

There is a bug in the list sorting algorithm. The sort by "Modified" feature is broken. The list is sorted by "Created" even when "Modified" is selected.

This has been reported a few times on here (and the main forum). My own observations of the changes, suggest it was a result of quick fix solution to get lists back up and running a month or two back. However, I am surprised this hasn't been sorted out since then but it might be it will return the next time the lists get a tweak.
