I put a user on ignore and deleted my topic. The comments still show with the exception of the ignored user from my end. I want to know if that user can still comment on my deleted topic or reply to my last comment to them.

Hi Lashuri Chan,

If you post on an IMDb message board and delete the post before anyone else replies, then no one can reply to the post. Otherwise, once someone replies to the post anyone including users you ignore can reply to any of the replies, even if you delete your original post.

To add a more general comment to Dan Dassow's accurate reply:

The function is in the name: Ignore.

This option has absolutely no effect on what the Ignored person can do; you are simply not seeing what they post; only your account is affected.

The real advantage to Ignore is that, since you don't see what they post, you are not tempted to reply and feed the trolls. They generally just want attention and don't care what sort of attention it is. Starve them of that and they will usually (eventually) give up.
