Yes, you can create a poll suggestion.

As a general rule, poll board poll suggestions take longer to go live and may not go live if there is insufficient suggestions from board members.

To get a sense of which of the poll board suggestion polls go live and work well, you can look at:
IMDbPollBoardPicks
