IMDb Contact Us

1. Select which topic you need help with
Select: IMDb Fan

2. Tell us more about your issue
Select an issue: Data user & licensing
Select issue details: Commercial licensing

Solve the issue here:

IMDb's content consists of movie, television, and performer data -- such items as Release Year, Genre, Cast Members, Awards Won, Plot Summaries, Keywords, Birth Date, Birth Place, and more. This data forms the foundation of our consumer website and mobile application. (Note that we do not share our user or traffic data).

We offer a commercial license for a subset of this content. Our license requires an annual fee, branded and linked attribution to "IMDb" wherever our content is being displayed, and other terms and conditions. *We reserve the right to refuse to license to any company or individual.*

Our commercial content license is not designed for private individuals or academic and non-profit/charity research. If your inquiry is of that nature, please re-select the correct option from the drop-down above.

All content licenses require a signed contract and an annual license fee.

Pricing varies due to the varied nature of different licensees' needs. In general, fewer Titles and Names with fewer data fields per Title or Name lowers the licensing fee. Signing a multi-year agreement also lowers the fee. Prices *start* at $50,000 USD per year. (Note that enterprise licenses, which allow our content to be re-distributed to your end clients with their own customers, are different and pricing is structured differently.)

We do not send out samples of our content. If you wish to see a sample, you must enter into a trial license agreement (no fee) that requires a signed contract and an Amazon Web Services (AWS) account.

Having read the above, if you would like to discuss a content license, please click the "E-mail" button below and describe your company and your use case. Your inquiry will be sent to IMDb's Business Development team.
