I am only just noticing this because I don't come here a lot since the message boards left. Probably a good thing for me I usd to spend hours on those damn boards. Now I mostly come here just to see who that actor was. Tonight though I sa an awesome movie and I wanted to look at reviews and see who agreed with me (best rated) and on those who didn't why not (lowest rated) I went o sort the review and see that it's set on most helpful and I can't change it. WTF? So bow there are reviews I will never see. I wrote one for this movie but no one will ever see it because there are so many reviews and mine will never get rated as most helpful because The movie has been out awhile and those "most helpful" reviews are way up there. Really dumb decision I think. Tell ya what IMDb keeps sending me emails wanting me to go back to pro, at this point no way in hell I would pay for what this site has become.

Well may not be to your tastes but it was The Greatest Showman. I will say I am not a fan of musicals, in fact usually stick to horror, scifi and occasional stupid comedies but this was just a fun feel good movie. Left me smiling, sometimes i need that.

Also it's possible the reviews have been like that awhile and I'm just noticing, as I said i don't come here much anymore. i think I have looked at reviews in the past few weeks though and I'm sure i would have noticed if it was like this before.

Thanks. Yeah, I usually stick to the same kind of movies too. But I'll give it a try when I'll be in the mood for some musical :)
Regarding the reviews, I come quite often to check them. Finding more interesting to read the bad ones, to know that I'm not the only one getting mad at some bad acting, ludicrous plot, and others overrated spineless blockbusters. And I confirm, the "sorting problem" is recent. I'd say a couple of months at most.

Yup, I like to read the bad ones as well because sometimes the reason it's rated bad isn't something that would bother me. Like when people pick apart something because it couldn't happen that way in a zombie apocalypse. If I'm watching a movie about zombies I don't really expect total realism. I just want to be entertained. or they rate it bad because "it's like all the other slashers out there" well I like all the other slashers out there. So if the bad ones are that it tells me I might like it better then the star rating tells me.
