Can’t change the mini bio

Hi, I Can’t change the mini bio on my page- credits from 2015,16 listed as 2005 and 2011! It’s right in the filmography, it’s just coming up on the automated minibio as when the shows were first created. Any advice much appreciated? Thanks!

Hi Elisabeth -

Please note that the Bio displayed on your page is automatic and pulls the credit information directly from your "Known For" titles. If you are an IMDbPro member and have claimed your page, you can select your 'Known For' titles, however, if you have not claimed your page and don't have IMDbPro, then the titles will display automatically.

Additionally, please note that you cannot directly edit an automatic Bio, however, you can replace it by submitting a new Bio for your page. So if you are not an IMDbPro member, this is the best option. I would encourage you to submit a new Bio to your page, upon approval, it will replace the existing automated Bio.

Your response does not address the BUG that Elisabeth is reporting:

This seems similar to the problem I reported, and to which Will replied on April 24 by opening a ticket, and has not yet been solved. The other thread is long and involves many more data issues (not bugs), so I won't reference it here, but I'll restate the problem. The page for Frank Condos
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0174432/
has a single credit (but formerly had several incorrect ones), and the automated minibio has a credit which is no longer attached to Frank. Notice that same deleted credit is also listed in the On Prime Video section (right column on desktop version). He has no Known For section.

I think that Elisabeth's issue of the minibio version of credits showing wrong (old) years could be similar. Here's the desktop version:

Her credit for Doctor Who is 2015, not 2005; for Endeavour, 2016 not 2012, and for Black Mirror, 2013 not 2011. Those dates are fine in the Known For section.

Hi Elisabeth,

As Michelle advises any titles listed in an automatic mini-biography reference the year that the show was first created and not the year in which the episode took place. The best way to resolve this is to add a new mini-biography to your page.

Please see instructions on how to add a new mini-biography below :

     1. Go to your name page.

     2. Click on the "Edit page" button towards the bottom.

     3. Next to the "Biography" option click the drop down and select "Add 1 Item".

     4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Continue".

     5. Input the new biography into the field, making sure it's in line with our Mini-Biography guidelines.

     6. Please be sure to add an author in the "By:" field.

     7. Click "Check these updates" and correct any errors you're presented with.

     8. Press "Submit".

Your submission will be reviewed by an editor and if eligible approved onto the site, you can see our current processing times here.

How do you totally remove the mini bio? I created one a long time ago and all the information has changed, I'd also no longer like to have that information open to the public but IMDB won't let me simply remove it. Any help?
