Can there be a work setting for advertisements please?

I am not an IMDb staff member, but a long time user of IMDb.

I agree with you that a "PG" or work-safe setting for ads on IMDb would be very helpful.

Your original post sounds more like a suggestion than a question. I believe that with your permission an administrator for IMDb's Get Satisfaction site can change the type of this thread from "Question" to "Idea". If that cannot be done, then it may be useful to post an "Idea" along the same lines as your original post in a separate thread.

Either way, it would be helpful for you ask your friends, family and colleagues to click the "Me Too" (for most post types) or "Like" (for Ideas). You may also wish to respectfully promote this on social media. I've already clicked the "Me Too" button.

IMDb considers the interest in an idea and the amount of effort in determining their priority for projects. You may notice that there are many ideas that user have suggested on this site.

In the case of this issue, IMDb also has to balance revenue from ads and the feasibility of providing alternate banner ads or the "Safe-for-Work" / "PG" setting.

There is already a precedence. IMDb's default search setting precludes adult titles in search results.

Thank you for creating this post. As Dan has mentioned, this would fall more-so under an "Idea" rather a "Question" as you're suggesting a functionality we do not currently offer on the site.
