For example, if we want to know if people agree with a statement in the description can we make a poll with only one suggestion?

2 Minimum as a Face-Off.
A 1 choice poll is not a poll

If you want to know if they agree then you would need a minimum of two choices, one to agree and one to disagree. Otherwise the results would be 100% for the only choice.

I never believed in binary questions, for me the minimal number of answers a question can amount to is three:

1. Yes
2. No
3. I don't know

cinephile, et al,

Let's see whether I can beat this dead horse into a pulp and drag it to water in hopes that it will drink.

All polls implicitly have these choices:
• None of the above (or No)
• I don't know
• I don't care
• I don't wish to vote in this poll
• I haven't seen the poll
A poll with only one choice is effectively meaningless, since you convolute the following choices into not voting:
• None of the above (or No)
• I don't know
• I don't care
• I don't wish to vote in this poll
• I haven't seen the poll
For a poll to be meaningful, it should have at least two choices:
• Choice A vs. Choice B
• Yes vs. No
This still means that that you convolute the following choices into not voting:
None of the above (for A vs. B or polls with at least three choices)
• I don't know
• I don't care
• I don't wish to vote in this poll
• I haven't seen the poll
When you add a "None of the Above" or similar choice, you convolute the following choices into that choices:
• None of the above (for A vs. B or polls with at least three choices)
• I don't know
• I don't care
• I don't wish to vote in this poll
Not voting in the poll with a "None of the Above" choice also convolutes the following choices:
• I don't know
• I don't care
• I don't wish to vote in this poll
• I haven't seen the poll
Poll authors and poll takers have had active discussions on whether "None of the Above" is necessary. This is an unresolved issue. It is left up to a poll author whether they wish to "None of the Above" in their poll.

Finally, we do not know whether the IMDb poll software allows polls with zero or one choices. The admins have confirmed that polls with more than 35 choices cannot be pushed or re-pushed.

Technically, if we want to play it safe, the answers should be:

- I can answer the question and my answer is affirmative = YES [+1, +1]
- I can answer the question and my answer is negative = NO [+1, -1]
- I can't answer the question but if I could, I guess my answer would be affirmative = I DON'T KNOW [0, +1]
- I can't answer the question but if I could, I guess my answer would be negative = I DON'T KNOW [0, -1]
- I really can't answer =  NEITHER [0,0]
- I can answer the question, but I have reasons not to give an answer =  NEITHER [1, ∅]
- I can't answer the question, but if I could, I would have reasons not to give an answer = NEITHER [0, ∅]
- I can answer the question, but I'm questioning my answer = I DON'T KNOW [1,0]
