I went to add a quote to a page for an episode of a television show, but was ultimately unable to do so. IMDB provided the fields for the number of people in the quote, the number of lines, and the character who said it, but no way for me to enter the quote itself. I assume I missed something, but I tried twice and saw no way to enter the actual quote either time.

For staff who browse these forums, this activity is re: the following reference codes:
  • 140224-145151-300000
  • 140224-144930-708000
Any guidance is apprecited.

Once you have the Add form, you first need to select the number of Speakers (and optionally number of lines), then click Continue

Next you select the various Speakers. If you haven't already done it, select the number of lines.
Click Check these updates

The returned form should have the spaces to add the actual quote.

You click on the name desired in the left field, and key the quote in the right.

You can select multiple speakers for a single line or un-select the selected speaker by using Ctrl-click

With IMDb Updates, almost all processing takes place on the server, so if there seems to be a dead end, click the Check button to see if that resolves the problem.
