I would like to know how this LA Times article written about me in 2013 can be added to the imdb.com page as reference.

Hi Jon,

We can only link to articles which have been created and submitted to us by our news partners.

Ann, can you please email me with some advice on who to contact in order to link the articles to certain movies. Should I get in touch with your news partners directly? justyna @ williamsbulldog.co.uk thanks

It is doubtful that anyone will contact you directly and this is not about the specific problem this thread is focused on, so you'd be better off starting a new thread.

The quick answer though is: if you want news to appear in the related news section then you'd want to focus your attention (press releases, competitions, interviews, etc.) on the relevant news partners.

If you find a news article on IMDB that mentions a title of yours that is on IMDB but doesn't link to it, then you can hit the report link and give them the address of the relevant IMDB entry. My experience is that they will sort this out in a day or two, so it is all pretty quick and easy.

some articles don't mention any titles but names attached to the relevant film, does it count as well? for example my actor is cast in the new movie and I'd like to link some articles with his other jobs? many thanks for getting back to me btw!

Yep, titles, names, characters and companies can all be linked in - if it has its own IMDB page (with a constant ID) it can be linked in.

I've done this quite a bit recently - if, for example, you add a new title it helps to check if any old news mentions it:

www.google.com/search?q=site:www.imdb..."

Response time varies, presumably depending on how busy they are, but it always gets sorted out eventually.

what if it doesn't have it's own page but is still in the title which works with IMDB?

Can you give me an example? I'm not 100% sure what you are trying to do.
