Trying to read Ricky Whittle's bio. Cannot because there is an ad for Believe in Destiny.  Clicked all over & cannot get it to go away.  What is the problem?  What should I do?  Very annoying.

Paul: For reference for anyone else reading this thread, after looking at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1340638/, the ad that says "Believe in Destiny" refers to the TV series "American Gods" in which Ricky Whittle is a cast member. The special design of the Ricky Whittle page is paid advertising for the series.

That said, I tried looking at the biography page for Ricky Whittle at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1340638/bio and found that the video ad does indeed cover up most his bio:

All I can read from the bio are the last two lines, "... written into the show as befalling his character. In 2007 he left to play in another British soap, as P.C. Calvin Valentine in 'Hollyoaks'." Most of the text is covered up, and I don't see how to access the rest of the bio.

So I am giving you a "me too" vote on this. Hopefully the IMDb staff will move the biography so that it won't be covered up by the advertising. I am sure that the network wants their ads to be prominently displayed, but not so much as to make the regular content unavailable.

Although I have been a very long time user of this excellent site, this is the first time I've expressed a concern.  I sincerely appreciate your research and confirming you see what I see (or don't see).  I understand ads are needed to cover costs so users do not pay to use the site.  Separately, it is a bit ironic I received an email 20 minutes before your reply titled Popular on IMDb.  The subject...Ricky Whittle Talks "American Gods," Compares Jordan Peele & Alfred Hitchcock.  This may attract more folks to check out Ricky.  Hope they have better luck.  Happy viewing!

Sometimes these bugs happen with cascading style sheet definitions, overrides and exceptions.

Considering how often I use the site, I am pleased it took so long to have a concern and to receive two nice, sincere replies.
Separately, your name reminds me of my Swedish cousin, Jorgen.  Are you Scandinavian?  I took my mother to Sweden (and other countries) for her 75th birthday.  We met over 30 relatives and visited sites important to our family, including the home were her father was born and raised until he left Sweden for Ellis Island, at 17, all by himself.
Thank you for your insights.

Steve: Thanks. I see at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1340638/bio that the special advertising design has been removed from the bio page and the entire content is visible.
