I also deleted the permission for IMDb on my FB as you suggested on your Help page. Now IMDb isn't even listed in the app list on my Facebook profile but that didn't do solve the problem. I even went so far as to clear the data and the cache in the IMDb app on my phone. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing works! Can you please help?!?
My device information:
- SM-N910C
- samsung
- en_US
- OS 23
Also I tried creating an IMDB account using the same email address with Facebook to see if I can unlink it somehow on the desktop version. I went to site settings under my profile and went to share settings and it says my Facebook account is linked but I can't unlink it since it doesn't even show up on my Facebook!
The most ridiculous part is how can the IMDB app shares to my Facebook when I'm not even signed in! HELPPPPP!

Based on your post, it sounds like you may need to clear the default app settings stored in your device, by following these steps:
1. On your device, go to Settings
2. Choose Applications
3. Choose Default Applications
4. Tap Clear next to the Facebook app
Please let us know if we can offer any further assistance.

I've investigated this issue with a local Samsung device, and can confirm (as you mentioned above) that this default sharing app selection functionality happens with multiple various apps on all Samsung devices, not only our IMDb app.
Therefore, it appears that this issue is related to the settings within the Samsung device, not your IMDb account or application.
I recommend reaching out to Samsung support here:
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/
for further assistance disabling the default app selection.
Thank you for your understanding.

In addition to the IMDb app, I've been able to reproduce this with the Google Chrome app as well (launches IMDb app when clicking IMDb titles instead of a new Chrome page, launches Gmail app when clicking an email address instead of the built-in Email application).
Please know that your Facebook account linkage will not affect the issue you are experiencing, as this is being caused by the Samsung device's default settings.
If you still wish to unlink your Facebook account from your IMDb account, please ensure that you have followed these steps:
1) go to https://secure.imdb.com/register-imdb/sharing and verify that your accounts are connected (if the accounts are linked, the page will display a link to your Facebook account)
2) Go to your Facebook page and click on the 'Account' link in the upper right corner of the page
3) Select 'Account Settings' from the Account menu
4) Click on 'Apps' in the left-hand side column to display a list of apps you have authorized
5) Find the IMDb application in the "Logged in with Facebook" list
6) Select the 'Remove App' option and confirm
7) Go back to https://secure.imdb.com/register-imdb/sharing and reload. The page should now display a 'Login with Facebook' button instead of a link to your Facebook account, confirming that the connection has been removed.
Please let us know if we can offer any further assistance.

As mentioned multiple times, I have followed the steps you provided but cannot unlink from FB because IMDb is not listed in FB under apps! Steps 4, 5, 6 cannot be done; thus, I cannot unlink from FB. Can you do something "behind the scene"?
This guy had the same problem but for other reasons and appatently you guys were able to solve it for him.

I have attempted to remove the Facebook authorization from "behind the scenes" as well, but it appears that you are still experiencing the issue of it showing that your Facebook account is connected.
I've forwarded this information to our technical team for further investigation.
We will reply to this thread as soon as we receive more information.
Thank you in advance for your patience!
