For some reason the imdb list creator is not leting me add adult film actress to my list of actresses, although it only works if they were in a non adult film yet it works for other users?

When i try to add them , they're name wont appear?

Hi unkown1000,

To provide some level of control
for those of a sensitive nature, adult actors cannot be added to a list.

I apologize for any inconvenience
this may cause.

Maybe they worked in a non adult film and were added for that?

There used to be the liberty for you to choose whter to ignore or accept adult films. The users that have adult film actresses or actors in their list probably added them before the new restrictions were in place. Personally I think it is quite absurd to have all the adult film information and let users unable to use it. It used to be possible to create characters from adult films, but that's also no longer possible.

I understand why IMDb has put the Enable adult titles on the search page - to allow unregistered viewers to view them if they wish. This means that the function is localized, and areas like Advanced search are excluded.

But I have felt for a long time that there should be an option in Site Preferences that allows users to permanently set Enable or Disable. Setting this to Enable should allow 'adult' data to be shown in all contexts including Advanced Search (including Pro).

With this option, setting to Disable should actually lock out the current choice on search so that it won't accidentally be enabled.

P.S. Personally I feel that it is foolish to cater to those who become upset when they encounter less graphic information on IMDb than can bee seen in public outside theaters. However, I assume IMDb feels it is necessary to placate the many puritans in the US particularly.
