I tried to add order numbers to the cast of Cost Effective (tt6843502), but no editable boxes show up in the order number column.  I can add order numbers to other films, but not this one.  Do I need to do something different?

Ange,

There appears to be a technical issue with that specific title page. Please wait for an IMDb representative to respond.

Hey Ange,

Thanks for your post.

The system does not allow updating of cast and/or writer numbers when a title is still "in-development" - the options within Edit page are blanked out as you've seen.

Looking at the title you provided, whilst there is a release date listed - the Production Status was set to "Pre-prod". As the release date has now passed, I've applied the correct production status to reflect this and the option to update the ordering is now active.

Thanks for your patience.

Thanks, Joel.  It works now.  I think I'm the one who entered the two release dates, based on the film's Facebook page.  Too bad these regional directors get so busy they forget to update the Production Status pages.  And I believe I've seen that imdb even prompts them occasionally, asking for an update.

Vincent Fournols, the lower the budget, the more director does, usually. Many directors all over the world whom I know personally do that themselves.

Vincent Fournols, the more you know the more concept of "knowing better" becomes pale: it is impossible to know very side of every story so you can only hope that what you know is sufficient enough. :)

For lower budget movie projects, usually the same person serves as director, executive producer, and post-production supervisor, basically serving in more than one department. For independent movies, that person tends also to be the CEO of the sponsoring studio altogether. In large productions, participants do not serve multiple roles quite as much, and creative control is something that is negotiated whereby often ultimately the studio serves as a mediator among writers, directors and editors. Sometimes a the writer's influence or the director's influence over the post-production process is not always adequately reflected in the credits, but it can be inferred whenever the writer or the director also serves as executive producer.
