I need to change my titel to include the fact that its not a final product but a work in progress and add (Pilot) or Trailer, or Teaster but IMDB doesn't accept any of these changes?

Dawn: I'm not sure I understand this request. A work should have its main title listed in IMDb as the title used when the work is first released to the public.

Please provide further details about your project, what stage of production it is at, and how and when it is being released to the public.

Hey, this project like many others is a work in progress and is in post thus, may need a name change at some stage and I need to know how to do that. There are plenty of IMDB projects which are in pre-production which are listed so I don’t know if I get what you mean?

Hi, Prawnie.

When addressing IMDb, the first question is what and who is listed.
If your project is not listed (has no title page), you need to add the title with all correspondent attributes, following the guides (click links):
If your project has been listed already, you can not change its status to any other after it is proved to be released. And it would be great to see the link here if you need a further discussion.

Please be informed that any projects having "in progress" status may be maintained only by means of a pro-account, and their status is hardly if possible to change when the pro-account is suspended.

To correct a title, please see

However, please also note that the production status of a title is not (or should not be) part of the title text.  Your title should not include words like "trailer" or "work-in-progress" as part of its name so you should not need to change its name as the project progresses.

Hope this helps (and thanks MAthePA above for the additional useful links above).

Thankyou. What about changing a CREW function? I have had issues with that as one of the crew was put in via an IMDB Pro log in as doing a certain function and ended up doing something else.

Anyone could do the requested change, so you are probably in the best knowledgeable position to do so: just click on "Edit page", select Correct/Delete for the wrong occupation, "add 1" for the new one and proceed following instructions.

Come back here if you face any issue.
