Can't change invalid information.

I am co-producing a Swedish movie which somebody has already made a page for on IMDB. The page consists of invalid information that I have tried to correct (more than a month ago) without any success. For example: it says that our budget is 31 millions, when it's actually not even close to that amount. And apparently Michael Bay is producing it??? 90 % of the information about the movie is wrong, and I'm not able to correct it. What do I do?

Is any information on the page correct with regards to your film? If not, how do you know it's not just a different film, same title?

Hi! Thanks for your answer. Yes, there is some information that is correct. For example: some of the actors, the name of our Director, the name of the movie, the plot etc. But still, there is more information that is not correct. Any advise?

It could be someone has mistaken that film for yours and added some information to it or accidentally merged two similarly named titles - it'd be worth checking as Michael Bay is sufficiently high profile you should be able to tell if there is a similar film.

Can you give us the link?

Ah thanks - turns out it is actually on my Watchlist already and my zombie list:
http://www.imdb.com/list/Zu0aA0_BPKI/

The only thing I can think of is that Bay is producing Zombies vs Robots, but that has its own entry and Bay is correctly assigned to that. So it is possible confusion was caused there, but it is unlikely.

Based on the fact that there are currently 2 directors attached to this title (one Swedish, one American) it looks like two titles may have been merged here (either accidentally or by a source confused about them).

Our editors will take a look asap.

Hi Giancarlo.

It would be great if you can help us out! We are currently in pre production and will start shooting in a couple of weeks. The invalid information on http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1826956/ has made potential financiers questioning the whole project. I mean, 31 million dollars in budget (as it says on the page). I wish we had that budget!

How do we proceed with all the other invalid information? Do I keep contact directly with you in order to correct the mistakes? If so, do you need some validation from me that I am actually involved in this project?

Very best,

The best thing you can do at the moment is to wait. The Data Managers have tools to split the data, but this becomes more difficult if more changes are made.

It often takes a couple of days after the Managers have approved them for changes to actually appear, so it is likely to be at least a week from the time of Giancarlo's post - 2-3 days minimum for the changes + 2-3 days to rebuild the page.
