Why is it not possible to edit the name of a list? It would appear that you can only create a new list and move everything to it. A real pain when there are a lot of items on the list.

Hi mrbillshaw!

I've been able to rename lists in the past, so I will have to check out whether something has changed to make it difficult to do so now.

In the interim, is one of the lists that you are trying to rename public? If so, would you share a link to one of the lists to help track down anything that could prevent you from changing the name?

Hi Dan

They are all private lists.

I have created a public "Test List" with a movie added to it. Is that all I need to do?

What I was trying to help discover is if any of your lists have any issues that may prevent you from editing the title.

Now that you saved the "Test List", can you edit the title? If not, what is the link to the list?

I will check out whether I can change the title of one of my lists later on today.

Not sure what you mean.

1. If you Edit all the lists all you can do is delete one.

2. If you open the list and Edit the list - all you can do is Change the list settings - privacy, emali preferences and view preferences.

3. What is the "link to the list" you're looking for?

He wanted to see if the issue is occurring on this test list you've made.

A link to it would be, go to the list. Copy it's address from your browser's address field, then paste that here so he can see what's going on there.

I edited a title.

So, open the list. Click "edit list." To the right of the title, there should be a little pencil Icon. Click it and it should open a text field around the title letting you edit the title of the list. Click "done." Does this work for you? If not, what part does not work?

Thanks - problem solved.

I didn't see the pencil icon, it's very light grey - must wear my glasses in future.

No problem...I had to squint, to be honest (too lazy to get my glasses!).

You're welcome!

Just a side note - you don't actually have to click on the pencil icon. Clicking on the title itself (or anywhere in the faint box around the title) should open it up for editing.

Just discovered you can rename on iPad:-

1. Open List.
2. Edt List.
3. Open List Settings.
4. List name can now be edited.
