Car owners/providers/handlers/wranglers in films and tv - what category?

In some films/tv there can be cars (well, I guess boats, planes, motorcycles and whatnot) that are loaned from the collectors or private individuals (and not from the shops, companies or "product placement" sponsors). What is the correct category if their name is listed in the credits?

I just saw one series featuring a vintage car which is owned by a private individual. The series/credit is not in English, but roughly translated as "car owner: car name" (in this case the car has a nickname in the series - a bit like "cat owner: Garfield"). Note that this person does not appear on screen in the actual series (as an actor, nor as a "driver"), only his car does.

Are these type of credits listed to "Other Crew"? It now has 57 "car provider" credits and 50 "car wrangler" credits.

Or "Transportation Department", which now has 9 "car owner" credits and 47 "car wrangler" credits (I believe the latter could mean that the person is actually present on the set, but I'm not sure that was the case here). Also 6 "cars provided by" credits.

I have also seen some credits where the car used in the film is considered as a "prop" and therefore added to "Art Department". It now has 240 "car handler" credits, 12 "car wrangler" credits.

My head hurts. Could you point me to the right direction?

Cliff, this is not a question of adding the actual car (used in the film) on IMDb. It’s a question where to add its OWNER if (in my case, when) that person is listed in the actual credits. John Doe owns a vintage Ford used in the film. John Doe has a credit like ”car owner: Ford Model T”.

In my case the nickname of the car (not the actual brand or the model) is also listed in the credits, but that can be added after the colon if I’m not mistaken (I could add the actual brand/model also which I know, but that is not listed in the actual credits - only the nickname is).

Hi Eboy,

I'd go with "Other Crew" but please add the attribute exactly as it appears on screen.

I hope this helps.
