It used to be that when I added screenshots to episodes of "Forensic Files," the photos of the tagged cast members were automatically added to their pages, too. Now, that no longer happens. What changed?
For example: When I added photos of Tina Nunn, Knox McMahon, David Collins and Steven Derrick to the episode called Trouble Brewing, these same photos appeared on their respective pages. They had no photos beforehand.
Did a glitch cause this to happen? I know that normally photos added to title pages do not appear on the name pages. Why did it happen with "Forensic Files"? And why did it stop happening?

Hello J.,
What happend? The popularity of the IMDb massively increased leading to floods of submissions. The number of submissions that they get every day is quite phenomenal
See the Processing Times for an idea of any backlogs in the processing of submissions in any particular areas

How long ago did you add the photos to the 2009 episode Trouble Brewing?
Photos added to title pages do not get propagated to name pages these days. In fact, there are several recent threads about contributors being unable to add photos to Name pages. Only the owner of the page, who is a paid IMDbPro member, can add images to their own page, and we have no provision to add photos even for deceased people who have none on the site. For instance:

It was probably three months ago. And note that this was happening on ALL the episodes I added photos to, not just that one.
Another example is the episode titled Dirty Laundry. I added images to the episode title page for Audrey Bosley, Amy Bosley, Barrett Champagne, Michelle Snodgrass, David Fickenscher, Keith Hill, Noah Hiam, and Paul Tangren. And those photos appeared on the name pages as soon as they appeared on the episode title page.
Frankly, it would be nice for this to happen for any person listed in the database, especially the ones who do not already have photos. I was confused when I was told that I could not add photos to name pages without claiming them on my IMDbPro account; because I was, in effect, adding photos to persons who appeared in "Forensic Files."

I've only added photos to film titles, not to TV episodes, and I've never had one migrate to the person identified (that I know of). I can think of at least 1 example where an image had only 1 person, and the person had no images yet.
Perhaps you are the creator of the person(s) whose images went through to the name page? I should try posting an image to a person who's on IMDb because I added them.
I would ask what steps you used to add the photos, but that may cause that avenue to be shut down for posting images to people+titles simultaneously.

Well, the avenue seems to have been shut down already, so I may as well tell you.
As I recall, the simultaneous publishing of an image (to both the title and the person pages) happened when the person was already in the database. It may also have happened when I added the person myself, but I'm not sure.
I believe that it only happened when I submitted both the image and the name at the same time. If I submitted the image first, and then edited in the name later, the image did not appear on the person page (to the best of my memory).
It did not happen with any other title besides "Forensic Files" episodes. I would submit images to other TV series and movies in exactly the same way I submitted them to "Forensic Files"; but the images that were published to the title pages never appeared on the person pages. Only with episodes of "Forensic Files" did images simultaneously appear on both title and person pages.
But now, it doesn't even happen when I submit images to the "FF" episodes. Now the images appear only on the title pages and do not appear on the person pages.
It's a mystery.

Do you mean URLs of recent images that went through normally, or the ones (three to six months ago) that ended up on name pages? No images I've submitted recently have ended up on the name pages of those tagged.

Hi J.,
I've just checked those name pages you mentioned and although I can see that you've tagged photos similar, those exact images were not added by your account.
Regards,
Will

Now I'm completely confused.
I wish I had asked about this when it was happening, because I didn't save any of the email receipts.
I remember submitting images to several episodes of FORENSIC FILES, and seeing the same images going up on the name pages immediately. Is my memory wrong? Or did someone add these images immediately after I added mine? And if so, how could one person add images to multiple name pages? Surely someone didn't pay for dozens of IMDbPro accounts just to add images to the various name pages associated with FORENSIC FILES. Are each of those name pages claimed by separate persons?
I'll have to let the matter drop, since I didn't save anything. All I can say is, I'm utterly bewildered.
