Hi, I work for National Geographic and it's come to our attention that one of our episodes aired with an incorrect credit. We're working to change this on our air masters but we also need to change it here. How do we go about that?

Hi Darcy -
As instructed on the Help link Jeorj provided above, you will need to submit the applicable credit correction/deletion through our online Update form. Note that if you are correcting the credit for an episode, you will need to start on the episode title page and scroll to the bottom where you will see our "Edit Page" button to access the Update form.
Let us know if you need any further assistance or have additional questions!

Wait, shouldn't there be something special about this. IMDb records credits from how they appear in the original airing. It seems like they should keep the credit even if it is incorrect as that is the way it originally aired.

You would think so!
When the new remastered (corrected credits) version is issued then the alternate version with a different release date should be added. So in essence both versions should be in play.

I guess basically the original ”wrong” credits should stay on the site with ”(credit only)” attribute, and the new ”correct” credits should be added with ”(uncredited)” attribute. Then perhaps note to the Alternate versions section. (Not sure what type of corrections will be made to the episode, though.)
Not the ideal way, but since there are some guidelines on IMDb...
